Preventing Illegal Weapons Trafficking Act of 2025
This bill increases federal and local law enforcement efforts to stop the smuggling, domestic production, and 3D printing of conversion devices that turn semi-automatic firearms into fully automatic machine guns. It allows the federal government to confiscate all profits made from illegally manufacturing, importing, or selling machine guns and conversion parts. Additionally, federal agencies must train local police to identify these devices, investigate their supply chains, and publish regular data on how often they appear in crimes.
