Supporting Healthy Moms and Babies Act
This bill requires all private and employer-sponsored health insurance plans to fully cover pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum care without charging deductibles, copays, or coinsurance. Under the new rules, plans must cover licensed ultrasounds, labor and delivery services, miscarriage care, and physical or mental health treatments for pregnancy-related conditions for a full year after birth. It also mandates covered mental health services for non-birthing legal parents for one year following a child's birth.
