Enhancing Stakeholder Support and Outreach for Preparedness Grants Act
State, local, and tribal agencies seeking federal homeland security and anti-terrorism funding will receive ongoing technical assistance and education from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) before, during, and after grants are awarded. FEMA must also survey these local partners every year to gather feedback on the grant application process and show how that input was used to improve future funding opportunities. In addition, federal watchdogs and FEMA must submit reports to Congress evaluating whether this support effectively helps local communities access funds.
