No Secret Police Act of 2025
This bill requires Department of Homeland Security officers, including ICE and Border Patrol agents, to clearly identify their specific agency and visibly wear official uniforms or badges when detaining or arresting people. It also prohibits officers from wearing masks or items that hide their faces during immigration and border enforcement operations. In addition, the department would have to report its tactical gear rules to Congress and research ways to make officer uniforms more visible in various weather and lighting conditions.
