Midnight Rules Relief Act
This bill allows Congress to overturn multiple federal agency regulations at the same time with a single vote, as long as those rules were issued during the final year of a president’s term. Under current law, lawmakers must review and vote down contested rules one by one. By allowing these regulations to be bundled together, an incoming Congress can more quickly repeal major environmental, business, labor, and consumer protection standards finalized by an outgoing administration.
