Secure Rural Schools Reauthorization Act of 2025
This bill renews federal financial support through 2026 for rural counties containing national forests, helping fund public schools, road repairs, and emergency services. The Treasury Department must issue overdue payments for fiscal years 2024 and 2025 within 45 days, deducting any standard forest-revenue shares counties have already received. It also extends local advisory boards and gives counties until 2029 to finish spending their project funds.
